That's because when you turn your engine off, oil drains back into the pan. After a few hours, little oil remains on engine parts. So, when you start your engine again, there is essentially no oil to lubricate moving parts. This is when more than 60% of your engine's wear occurs. Not so with FORMULA 3tm. Simply stated, FORMULA 3tm is a balanced EP (Extreme Pressure) & anti-wear formulation that treats metal through heat and pressure. Unlike many other products on the market today, Lubrication Specialists went to great lengths to "balance" this formulation so that there is an extremely high degree of both EP AND anti-wear characteristics. Products can have high "EP" but may not have good anti-wear characteristics as well. Formula-3 has both. This is proven with Falex tests (EP) and a test vehicle with almost 600,000 miles on the original engine without an overhaul! We are unaware of any other test vehicle with this record. Under use, FORMULA 3tm is attracted to and treats only metal. It works at the molecular level by filling in the peaks and valleys (asperities) and making the metal smoother. It is not a solid, metal-based lubricant. It does not contain PTFE's, Teflontm, moly, zinc, copper, graphite, silicon, lead, or low cost, inferior chlorinated products which can change critical clearances or even corrode your engine. FORMULA 3tm will not plate or build up. Store shelves are loaded with "new and slick" oil additives. Tests show that many of them don't work any better than regular motor oils. Some have ingredients that may even clog engine oil passages and oil filters and cause engine damage. FORMULA3 tm will not. Although FORMULA 3tm is used in conjunction with your regular or synthetic lubricant, it works independently of the normal oil film, using the oil only as a vehicle to reach moving metal parts.
