1989 to Present
Research, Consulting and Engineering. Directs all research, development, engineering and process
controls of new and existing products and processes. Products developed include lubricants, lubricant
additives, fuel additives, low VOC paint strippers and low VOC PVC cement. Emphasis with
San Diego based Lubrication Specialists, Inc. - advanced oil additives
with extreme HP & anti-wear properties.
1985 to 1989
Director of Research and Development. Directed and controlled all work involved with new and existing
products. Primary products include military specification lubricants, greases, specialty aerospace
lubricants and functional fluids. Responsibilities also included Quality Control, all production facets, pilot
plant studies, technical and other specialized engineering services.
1971 to 1984
Technical Manager for Worldwide Lubricating Products Company. Planned, organized, directed and
controlled all fundamental work in connection with the development of appropriate processes for the
manufacturer of new and existing products and the improvement or modification of existing processes
with a goal toward product and process improvement and cost reduction. Formulated, recommended
and directed research and development programs for the introduction of new products. Assessed and
directed Quality Assurance programs on incoming raw materials to be used in manufacturing.
Established unparalleled Quality Control record for company's high-volume production. Guided technical
support of sales effort for this uniquely successful company involved with metalworking products and lubricants.
Education
Post Doctorate
University of California. Post Doctoral Studies in Physical-Organic Chemistry.
Work resulted in two acclaimed publications in sulfur bonding, unsaturated sulfides, and chlorination properties.

University of Virginia, M.S. & Ph.D., Organic Chemistry. Trans-bromodypnone and analogous compounds.
